Holding a license to practice before the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, he is esteemed as a valued member of the Dallas and Texas Bar Associations. Mrs. Shola M. Akere, a seasoned partner at our esteemed law firm, specializes in Immigration Law, Consumer Law, and Personal Injury. Her extensive experience in diverse immigration matters encompasses the procurement of temporary visas for various non-immigrant categories such as Students, Religious workers, Performing artists, and Professional and seasonal workers, among others. Mrs. Akere has adeptly secured permanent residency for clients seeking immigrant visas through their employment, expertly guiding them through the preference-based EB-1 through the EB-5 employment process until they secure permanent residency.
Demonstrating unwavering dedication to reuniting families, Mrs. Akere passionately represents clients seeking spousal visas, fiancé visas, immediate relatives, children, sons and daughters of permanent residents, and siblings of US Citizens. Mrs. Akere’s academic journey began with a B.A. Honors from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1989. Subsequently, she graduated with an LL.B Honors from the University of Lagos and was officially called to the Nigerian Bar in 1997. Obtaining her license to practice law in the State of New York in 2001 and securing licensing from the State Bar of Texas in 2005, Mrs. Akere has been dedicatedly practicing law since May 2001. Lola “Lollie” Akere is an experienced associate at Akere & Akere P.C., where she practices across the firm’s Immigration, Criminal, Civil, and Family Law Departments. Ms. Akere’s clients benefit from her passionate defense, critical analysis, and effective advocacy before courts and opposing counsel. She prioritizes informed decisions and successful outcomes, and possesses firsthand knowledge of the injustices faced by immigrants, businessmen, criminal defendants, and family members.
Ms. Akere is compassionate to the needs of her clients and their families and is particularly attentive to the best interests of children in family law matters. Ms. Akere is a highly accomplished attorney who earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2019. While at law school, she was a member of the Criminal Defense Clinic and an elected Senator. In addition, she co-founded the Minority Rights Coalition and won the Best Individual Negotiator Award at the Nelson Mandela International Negotiation Competition. Ms. Akere graduated with distinction from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is admitted to practice in Texas.
